Vitamin C is an antioxidant. Moreover, as an antioxidant, vitamin C lowers the risk of heart disease and strokes by maintaining even blood pressure, preventing cholesterol from oxidizing and keeping artery walls safe from being damaged. In addition to that, the antioxidant function of  Vitamin C in the lungs and airways helps asthmatics to relief from asthmatic symptoms.
The list goes on; Vitamin C also helps the body to absorb, transport and store iron, fights cataracts (having a blurry vision) by increasing the amount of blood flow to the eye, and can shorten the duration of cold as the immune system needs extra Vitamin C at then. In addition to that, Vitamin C is helpful for maintaining healthy gums, healing wounds, better skin appearance, and much more.
