The Effects of the Plastic on our Environment

The Effects of the Plastic on our Environment

Starting from the manufacture of plastic, is dangerous on our environment, because it made from oil and the process of it taking a long time beside, its a heavy material that needs a lot of chemicals to make it and to waste it too.
Plastic that name of things covers the high percentage of the human usage, without knowing that it's dangerous!!! because of the chemicals contain in it, although some of it having printing so double effect to waste our environment especially if it was under the sun for a long time.
Effects on the environment:

Land

Chlorinated plastic can release dangerous chemicals into the surrounding earth, which can then trickle into groundwater or other surrounding water sources. This can cause serious injury to the species that drink this water.

Ocean

Plastics in oceans naturally degrade within a year, but not totally, and in the process toxic chemicals such as bisphenol A and polystyrene can filter into waters from some plastics.
Polystyrene pieces and nurdles are the most universal types of plastic pollution in oceans, and joint with plastic bags and food containers make up the majority of oceanic rubbish. In 2012, it was expected that there was around 165 million tons of plastic pollution in the our oceans.
According to the Ocean Conservatory, plastic bottles and plastic bags are the most prevalent form of pollution found on our beaches and in our oceans.

Effects on animals
Plastic pollution has the potential to poison animals, which can then badly affect human food. Plastic pollution has been described as being highly damaging to large marine mammals(seals, whales, dolphins, and walruses), Some marine species, such as sea turtles, have been found to contain large proportions of plastics in their stomach.
Over 260 species, including invertebrates, have been reported to have either ingested plastic or become involved in the plastic.

Effects on Humans

Plastics contain many many types of chemicals, depending on each type of plastic. The addition of this chemicals is the main reason why these plastics have become so multipurpose, however this has problems associated with it. Some of the chemicals used in plastic production have the potential to be absorbed by our skin
Plastic pollution can also affect humans in which it may produce an eyesore that interferes with enjoyment of the natural environment.

Plastic = Toxic

The plastic Degrades slowly due to its durability.
When burnt it produces harmful fumes that cause Lung cancer
Requires too much of chemicals during creation

Don't forget even it's having this bad effect still it's having a good effect to make the human life easier, by making the plastic bags to carry things, plastic kitchen tools that helps to relax after eating by not wasting time and effort for cleaning.

So we should think wisely and save the earth to our children.
Recycling the plastic is one of the solutions.
Last but not least it's depending on the way that we use it.
